Favor, Karma & Friendship ..

Assalammualaikum,

Today, Naim & I went for our compulsory HIV Test.. and the outcome is as predicted à NON-Reactive. In other words, we are clean from HIV. Alhamdulillah. ;)

But, that is not why I’m writing today. Let’s talk about “FAVOR” today. Those who have known me for sometimes knew that, I’m the kind of person who finds it difficult to say “NO” to anyone, especially when I know them. So, normally when people ask my favour, I’ll do anything in my power to grant them the favour. And when I do grant them the favour as requested, I don’t normally ask anything back in return. BUT, it is nice to know they appreciate it and not just take it for granted. 

No matter what people say, I do believe in KARMA. If we do something good, eventually good things will happen to us and vice versa.  So, I try my best to not hate people and also to forgive one’s wrong-doing, even when it is hard to forget. Usually, when I’m not that found of someone and it is getting close to hating that person, I would keep my distance and try to avoid any kind interaction with that person. This is to prevent myself from hating that person.  And so far, in my life, there’s no one person who I hate but there’s by far, 2 person  that I can’t stand  in my life. The reason why I can’t stand them is self-justifiable.

Back to “favour” again. This time let’s talk in terms of “FRIENDSHIP”.  I just couldn’t understand those people who are in a position to be called friend but cannot even say “hi” to my face whenever we cross path, but have the “courage” to ask for assistance whenever they feel like it. And the best part is, they couldn’t even ask it face-to-face. I mean, how “heroic” one must be to ask favour from someone, when they can’t even say one word to; face-to-face. And even when I assisted them, as soon as they get what they want, I won’t hear from them again until the next time they need a favour.

So, here’s a thought. I would LOVE to assist anyone (if I can), as long as the next time you see me, perhaps walking down the stairs or getting in or out of my car, or sitting in my office, or when we’re in the same room,  try talking to me or a simple “hi Dee” will do. Try being a friend, cause I’m willing to give you the” benefit of a doubt”.   I think that is reasonable. Yes? Cause, honestly, I can’t make peace with myself for refusing (in purpose) to help a person when I knew I can help them. Unless, you are a perfect stranger; I have never know you in my life and there’s no one else you could ask and you are not a con-man/woman… then it would be a different case all together.

Crime and Punishment

It's my current reading material. Hope to finish reading it by end of this coming week. First 2 chapters seems interesting. lets just hope that it's gonna be interesting and exciting till the end.

Dee goes Hip Hop Tonight...!!!

     

Hye Ya'll,

"Yes, Dee is more of a rock kind of girl, but she used to have some Hip Hop sort of music on her top playlist." Here are few that I can remember listening to and some memories to go with it.... Enjoy people..!!

As the name itself suggest, this kinda my fav song during my "clubbing" days, which is over now by the way. (Can't stand loud music and heavy crowd anymore nowadays). I remembered everytime the DJs played this song, the crowd will go wild and we'll screamed our lungs out.. It is fun when you are in your early 20s.. but now just by walking pass the club I could feel my lung pounding hard and ready to explode. Nevertheless, it is  refreshing to hear this song again every now and then at the comfort of my own space and time.. ;)

Shaggy has always been about fun. His songs mostly has lyrics that is kindda entertaining and funny. His Music Video also is fun to watch. Craig David was not bad himself. Few of his song has been on top 50 of my MP3s list. These songs was also famous in the clubs during my clubbing days...

Eminem, was and still is the most talented "white man" on earth when it comes to rap/hip hop. At least I do think so. He is amazing at what he does and this, below, was one of his earlier songs that I love. It has this depressing meaning into it but none the less, it gives you a picture that life is never gonna be perfect... cool..!

OK... I think most of those in my age (more or less) can't deny being a fan of this groups in the 90s. The first ever concert that I'd been to, was theirs. they are pretty cool back then, and pretty talented too. They are not afraid to come up with something different (in Malaysia). I remembered playing their song on my keyboard. Below was one of my fav song and embarrassingly I confessed having a crush on Norman.... keep in mind ya'll, IT WAS IN MY EARLY HIGH SCHOOL DAYS then... :p  

This was one of my fav too. I mean, it was the "talk" during my MMU days. This was actually an actual break-up song. The upper one, was the ex-bf who caught his girl cheating on him. Below was the girl version who'd responded to the song made my her ex-bf  who'd caught her cheating. listen to the lyrics and you guys can know the story... I think... Well, It's amazing when you can broadcast you break-up through a song and it became a hit... At least they make some cash out of their break-up... owh..!! but It kindda 18sx... so, LISTEN AT YOU OWN RISK... ;) enjoy!! 

 

A Night in need of a good rest...

hye ya'll,

Tonight, I'm gonna give my brain a rest. Aim bought dinner for me. So, I'm gonna sit in my room watch some online movies, eat my dinner and do some self-made facial. Maybe strum some tunes on my guitar and make myself a cup of Hot Choc while trying to finish reading my Fyodor Dostoyevsky's novel entitle "crime and punishment". cool huh?? Well, at least it sounds cool to me... hehehe.

8.15am - 8.50am = Shah Alam Stamp Office - Stamping of SPA
9.20am - 10.15am = KL Syariah Court - Application for Faraid
10.45am = Post Office sentul - Sent notice via AR Reg. & Cert. of Posting
11.15am = Bank - do some banking stuff
11.50am = Selayang - to serve notice
12.30 = Gombak Land Office - Consent to transfer & Charge from bumi to non bumi
1.20pm = Lunch with papa at selayang baru
2pm= Client's office at Selayang - Appointment on land matters
3pm = Office. -C.T.C some doc. Non-stop of attending phone calls. replied some emails. set some interviews dates.
4pm = Perkim jln ipoh, Appointment with a client
4.30pm=head back to shah alam
4.45pm=car temp shoot up to max. luckily I'm at a Shell Station. Let it cool down, then pour some water and check engine oil and check fan.
5pm = car seems ok. try to hit the road again before heavy traffics.
5.45pm = reach home and car seems ok.
6.15pm = K. Watie pick me up to class.
6.40pm = attend class with a headache and a tired eyes and blurry brain.
8pm = makan with K.Watie and Aim at Old Town White Coffee sect. 7. The Food was terrible. Remind myself to not go there anymore.
10pm = Reach home. Aim sent me back home.
10.50pm = typing this
11pm = shower
11.30 = PENGSAN .....

Occasional Insomnia ..!!

Assalammualaikum,

Is there such thing as occasional Insomnia? I have this sleeping disorder problem, but it only happen when class started. I can only sleep like 2 hours daily, then i'll wake up with things to do playing in my head and a sudden need to look into whatever work still pending, be it work or class related - as long as I can do something in the middle of the night. Most of the time, I ended up reading books or drafting letter or agreements.

This is not normal right? and why is it that it only happen when sem started? It has been for 2 more years now and the doctor said that, I'm probably stressed with all the work loads and studying at the same time. But the problem is, I do not feel stressed. I don't even feel tired even without sufficient sleep for a whole week or so. I love what I do - work and study. I don't mind working or studying in my spare time. Nevertheless, a human body does need rest, at least 4-6 hours of sleep for adult every night. right?

ok now, I'm sleepy but need to take a quick shower first. Hopefully I can sleep a whole 6 hours tonight...

A day with W.P....

Assalammualaikum ya'll,

Last saturday, Aim n I went to see our wedding planner for measurement for our Baju Nikah and Sanding. This wedding planner had planned both of my sister's wedding. My family, especially my dad, who can be sometimes very hard to pleased, really do like him and so far has never once complained.

This time our appointment is basically to discuss on the design of the baju for both event and to take some measurements. Luckily he did not complain about our measurements and seems to be happy with it. He did warned us not put on weight more than 2 kgs though.

My concern was about my nikah day, cause since we plan to be solemnized at Masjid Negeri, I do have to wear a proper hijab, and because I do not have much experience wearing hijab, I ask him on his opinion.

Me: Abg, shud I wear white or pink hijab?
Wed. Planner: I think you shud wear white cause then it'll goes well with Aim's baju Melayu.
Me: I was thinking of wearing white too. What do you think Aim?

Aim: erkk.. hijab??  must wear hijab meh??
Wed. Planner: haha. yer la, nanti Tok Kadi suruh balik tak leh nak nikah. siapa yg gigit jari nanti??
Aim: owhh.. sorry sorry, I was thinking bout the lafaz nikah... n not so much of what we shud be wearing.. ok ok, white shud be ok. hehehe

pity Aim, he's kindda nervous bout the lafaz nikah part. Can you blame him?? I would be nervous too if I have to do all that in front of many people. just the idea of being on a stage sitting at the pelamin is freakin me out already. I did ask my wedding planner once "can i not sit at the pelamin on reception's day?". he answered "banyak lah!! abis buat pelamin buat ape?? takkan nak suruh aku dok atas tuh kut??". Yes, He can be really mean sometimes.

School..

Assalammualaikum,

Sekolah dah start kembali. Has been for 2 weeks now. it's my 6th sem. i'm taking 3 confirmed subject (criminal 2, equity n trust and Legal research methodology) plus one optional subject (mooting) which I might or might not take depending on how this saturday class goes. and out of this four, only two has final examination which will happen somewhere in January next year.

This sem, I limit myself to take as few subject as I could, cause there's few things on the upper of my priority list. Let's just say, there's more commitments this time around which require my attention and taking up what's left of my spare time.

Nevertheless, going to classes is kindda relaxing. why? cause it takes my mind off some really stressful matters. I think I smile n laugh more in class than I do for the past 4 months not having classes. Focusing on what the lecturers are trying to teach us and having good friends to talk and hang with is pretty cool. cause for the past 5 months, my life is pretty much centered around the Firm, on and off office hour. So, it's kindda cool to be able to escape even for a couple of hours. Do not misunderstood me tho.. I love the Firm and everything that has been going on right now. but, it is always pleasant to have something different every now and then right?

Ok then... it's kindda late and i'm not even sure what i'm writting anymore.. so.. till next time.. da~~

She Said : " DUDE,!!! ADA AKU KISAH??? "

She couldn’t care less when he told her bout his marital status and all the not-so-good details about how he got into marriage n how he’s trying hard to be happy but deep inside he’s actually really lonely (n other similar crap like that). She knew what he’s telling her is either an obvious lie or he’s trying to convince her to get into an affair with him because all the evidence proved otherwise. She had informer too.

She swears at that point of time, she would rather hear the sound of a dozen loud crows cawing annoyingly right thru her ears. After bout an hour of pretending to be interested by a gesture of a nod and a fake smile, she finally couldn’t take the suffering anymore as she felt as if her ears were about to bleed. Grabbing his shoulder while shaking it hard back n forth, she said “Dude, Be A Man!! Go Home To Your Wife n Deal With It!! And you shouldn’t be telling me all this lies cause….. Ader Aku Kisah??!!!” She turned her back on him and FINALLY, her smile was all genuine again… ;) :p

this song reminds me to always be careful with our words n acts.. n not to let our anger lead us to stray away from the path that we are on... let little things be little and end little... do not let them grow n become worst.. cause then... we might not  be able to take it all back.. we might not be able to return to the path to our dreams.. our destination.

Can't Run Away From The Rock.. !!

I was listening to my collections of MP3 in the course of compiling some love songs.  And after sorting out all the love songs, I noticed that all of them are from a Rock Band / Artist. I looked back at my collections. It’s mostly … Scorpions, Firehouse, The Cure, Creed, MLTR, Bon Jovi, Joan Jett, Guns n Roses, Curtis Peoples, King of Leon, One Republic, 3 Doors Down, Matchbox twenty, Coldplay, Daughtry, Linkin Park, My chemical Romance..  etc … etc….

Now, I need help. The truth is, I’m looking for love songs for a romantic occasion n will be heard by all ages. I don’t think that what I have now is what they would expect to hear…. And I’m very close to stepping into a music store n just grabbing a love songs compilation CDs.. but that would not be personal would it??

Luckily, I know one person who can help me with this… MISS RAHMA AHMAD!!!!! I NEED YOUR HELP…!!!

Interesting Origin of Common Legal Expression

Open and Shut Case.

In 1831, Jacob Open and Jack Shut were neighboring. Mr. Open was a pig farmer. He offers to lease a portion of land from Mr. Shut, who raised flax. Since the land was prone to flood it was not suitable for flax. However it was a suitable place for pigs to wallow.

Soon enough, a litter of piglets was birthed. However, since the birth took place upon his neighbour's leased land, Mr. Open deemed the shoats Shut's and refused to make lease payments, arguing his neighbour to be a bona fide pig-chaser for value without notice.

In retaliation, Jack Shut enforced a lien on the land and seized Open's assets. Doing so, however, meant Shut ran afoul of Inland Revenue laws, as the pig profits were not flax-deductible.

To complicate matters, Mr. Shut had been carrying on a four-month affair with Mrs. Open, wife of Jacob and a notorious philanders. Most of the late-night encounters took place on the portion of land in question. When the affairs were finally discovered, it prompted lawyers for Mr. Open to sue for "double trespass," a tort over both his farmland and his wife.

While preliminary proceedings were filed in the circuit court, the matter never went to trial as the night before the evidentiary hearing, Mrs. Open shot and killed both Jacob and Jack, absconded with the money and was never to be found. Lawyers for both parties had no need to carry on.

Hence, when lawyers find themselves overly prepared for a trial, they recall this set of events and deem it an Open v. Shut case.

Did you guys know that, if the husband lafaz talak ---->>> " Aku Ceraikan kau dengan talak 1000", means that dia jatuh talak 3 terus??

If the Husband says " Sekiranya kau keluar dari pintu depan ini, aku ceraikan kau " . Sampai bila pun the wife cannot keluar from that pintu depan. if she does, jatuh la talak atas dia. And if the husband wants to withdraw his lafaz taklik tadi, he has to runtuhkan the door and build a new one.

 “Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam melarang sebagian kalian membeli apa yang dibeli saudaranya, dan Janganlah seorang lelaki meminang atas pinangan saudaranya, sehinggalah peminang sebelumnya meninggalkannya atau mengizinkan kepadanya”


Hukumnya Haram.


Thus, The Phrase " May The Best Man Win " should NOT be used in the situation where a woman is already engaged or been ask for her hand in marriage by some other man.

1st day of 1st official procedure.....

Assalammualaikum.

It's been a while since I posted anything on my "virtual room". Well, final exam for 5th semester is finally over. Actually it's been over bout 2 weeks now. Next semester will not start until September, so I'm using all this time I have to focus on the Firm.

Forget bout study and work for a minute here. For a while now, mom n dad has been lecturing me to start working on the wedding preparation. I've been delaying it with excuses like; "I'm busy with classes" and "I got exam coming up soon". but since Exam is over, I'm out of idea for anymore excuses. Hence, we (my Fiancée and  I) decided to attend the compulsory "kursus kahwin" this weekend. FYI, Aim is attending for the 2nd time since I refused to attend by myself. :D

The kursus, organized by private company located at Solaris Mont Kiara. Sijil certified from JAWI and there's 6 speaker certified from JAKIM. Kursus is for 1 1/2 day. Today was our 1st day. The 1st speaker covered the topics of "Ibadat" and "Akidah" and 2nd speaker covered the topics "Akhlak" and "Conflict / Stress". Ironically, both speaker is from Kelantan and they were cool. They joke a lot, especially the 2nd speaker. However, what they lecture is not what we don't already knew. It's pretty general knowledge. I guess the whole purpose for the kursus is just to refresh our memories on what we already knew.

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to take any pictures in the class room (will take it tomorrow), but there's few pictures taken before the kursus starts and during tea break time.

Aim : Don't worry too much bout that. You come around it once you're ready. Just be the

         good person you always are and just remember one single thing -  I'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

         WHATEVER WRONG YOU DO, AND I NEED TO ANSWER LATER...

I got the message that he is impliedly saying and I wouldn't want him to be the one to answer for all my wrong doing........

“Katakanlah: "(Sesudah Aku mentauhidkan Allah dan berserah diri kepadaNya) Patutkah Aku mencari Tuhan selain Allah, padahal Dia lah Tuhan bagi tiap-tiap sesuatu? dan tiadalah (kejahatan) Yang diusahakan oleh tiap-tiap seorang melainkan orang itulah sahaja Yang menanggung dosanya; dan seseorang Yang boleh memikul tidak akan memikul dosa perbuatan orang lain (bahkan dosa usahanya sahaja); kemudian kepada Tuhan kamulah tempat kamu kembali, lalu ia menerangkan kepada kamu akan apa Yang kamu berselisihan padanya.” (Al-An’am : 164)


Suami yang memberikan didikan agama dan teguran kepada isteri dan anak-anaknya supaya jangan melakukan perkara-perkara yang dimurkai Allah dan mematuhi segala peraturan Islam, tetapi isteri dan anak-anaknya tetap melakukan perkara dosa juga, maka di sini suami tersebut terlepas dari dosa kecuaiannya, kerana suami tersebut telah menunaikan tanggungjawabnya sebagai ketua keluarga.



“Wahai orang-orang yang beriman jauhkanlah dirimu dan ahli keluargamu dari azab api neraka”.

Stress Therapy ......

Assalammualaikum Y'all...

What I do when I'm stressed out after weeks of worksss and booksss....?? I shopped.. well, sometimes we just need a break to keep our sanity.. hehe

This is at sungai wang plaza... but this time I ate more than I shop... and found out that I can no longer fit into the "s size" .... damnn!! need to focus less on food and more on exercising. ;)

Never miss this restaurant whenever I'm at Bukit Bintang... best chicken rice ever (next to my mom's, of course) ;)

Next, the moment we stepped in the mall, I had my desert... TT, belanje adik dia yg asyik nak makan jer nih... :D

after hours of wandering in the mall, we quench our thirst with coke and fanta.. we were excited to see that this packaging still exist.... hehehe 

              
We were soaking wet, cause it was raining out side but we were already tired being in the mall, so we decided to walk through the rain..... to Papa Rich across the road. We had Peanut butter sandwich, Otak-otak sandwich, white coffee and cappuccino..... and This is picture of Aim busy having conversation with TT, while I was busy snapping pictures....

TT and Aim got irratated of me snapping their candid pictures, so I ended up snapping my own picture.... hehehhe 

Now, I have to face the books again....... ~~sigh~~
